Salesforce Functional analyst

Project Details:

They have identified a vendor to replace a homegrown legacy system with an app which they are moving to a SFDC platform. With this integration, they are setting up workshops where they need to bring in a functional Salesforce Analyst to act as a watchdog to their team of 3 (Scrum Master, 2 workstream tech leads). With the go-live in March, they are planning on being an Agile – Hybrid team that carries out multiple sprints and need a person to help support it through next June when they roll it out with the intention of it going global in the near future.

Salesforce Analyst Responsibilities:

• Workshops will be defining requirements, grooming, what sprints are these going to go into? A lot of planning and acting as an advisor. • Cross-functional support for 2 workstream leads • Help lead 8 integrations • Gather requirements, ask right questions pertaining to requirements (i.e, if person on team brings in requirements, they need to be able to poke holes and make adjustments) • Understand design • Work with vendors and create a transparent dialogue on what needs to be changed • Review specs • They use JIRA for all tracking – someone with this under their belt would be preferred, but not required as they can teach it. • Create test scripts and track dependencies • Manual testing – integrations, system, sit, smoke testing (no uat), potentially some data testing (db is AWS) – 2 workstream leads are based out of India will help support the testing.

Top 3-5 required skills/technology:

• Tenure as a functional analyst, but 2-3 years in projects around salesforce. Need to be technical in that area, but don’t need any certifications. • Agile background, implementations, how to facilitate/document requirements and strong communication/attention to detail.

• What deliverables is the BA responsible for on the project? • Influence user stories, in each sprint they will be delivering a test script and functional dependency with the risk associated to it.
