Role: Salesforce System Analyst Duration: Permanent Location: Remote but will need to go onsite in Maryville, TN a couple times a quarter when needed Skillset (top 3-5): 4-5 years of Salesforce Systems exp or technical BA, and SQL High Level Position Description: The Systems Analyst role serves as a technical liaison between multiple business units and technology teams to define systems relationships, data flows, technical functions and features of products, and implement new functionality that will cross multiple portfolios, Home Building Group, Retail and Vantage. This position will document stakeholder requirements, refine requirements for delivery teams to implement, and at times make data and technical changes to system in support of product development or other technology projects. The Systems Analyst will coordinate and interact with internal Tech development and shared services teams, vendors, portfolio teams, and architecture teams to ensure requirements are understood and capable of being implemented. This is mostly a technology-facing role, requiring excellent technical and analytical skills. Responsibilities: • Partner with Product Owner on product vision, requirements definition, and capability mapping to ensure requirements align with business unit processes and needs. • Lead functional and technical discussions and communicate effectively with a variety of audiences, moving between providing functional/technical design details and sharing how a technical design would enhance business processes, particularly from a data and information flow perspective. • Support technology teams in translating business requirements to detailed stories/tasks for development teams to deliver business functionality. • Assist business stakeholders with testing of system changes and analyze data flows for process improvement opportunities. • Partner with the development team in the design, testing and deployment of changes to ensure the solution meets the agreed upon business requirements and is supportable and scalable. • Skilled in data gathering and analysis with the objective of providing solution recommendations and validation from a data and information flow perspective. • Advocate data flow and integration changes to improve and support business activities in designing future state of new products and platforms. • Provide leadership for the implementation of process improvement opportunities by mapping out data flow and system integration changes, refining requirements and scope, and proactively communicating project capabilities to business leaders, stakeholders, and users. • Serve as a mentor to other team members. Required Skills: • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with a diverse group of team members, including executives, managers, end users across a variety of business unites, Technology professionals, and subject matter experts. • Proven ability to query and analyze data patterns, data flows, and ensure data integrity across systems. • Ability to translate stakeholder requirements into technical specifications that can be used for development. • Experience with data management and relational database design and familiarity with data formats, table joins, ETL, etc. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong ability to work effectively within time constraints, changing priorities, and independently. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Including Intermediate in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. • Three or more years’ experience as a systems analyst. • Intermediate to Advanced SQL query skills. • Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical and business experience.
