About the role
Role: SAP BODS Location: REMOTE – EST HOURS Length: Through EOY 2023 Top 3 requirements: • Hands-on expert in Data Extraction, Transforming and Loading (ETL) using SAP Business Objects Data Services 4.3 (BODS) • Extensively worked on BODS Administration Tasks like Repository Configuration, Job Server configuration, Local Repository configuration, Central Repository configuration, Job Scheduling, Monitoring. • Using Data services Created Batch and Incremental load Change data capture and wrote initialization scripts which control • Workflows Data flows, consuming from/to SQL Server databases, API (ODATA and REST) services output. • Extensive knowledge in ABAP, SQL MS SQL Server 2019 and above • Knowledge in Planning, Designing, Developing and Deploying Data warehouses / Data Marts with experience of both relational & multidimensional database design (Physical and Logical data models). • Knowledge in cloud architecture, security is a big plus Day to Day Responsibilities/project specifics: • SAP BODS: is an ETL tool for extracting data from disparate systems, transform data into meaningful information, and load data in a data warehouse. It is designed to deliver enterprise-class solutions for data integration, data quality, data processing and data profiling. • *They need a resource who has focused on BODS day in and day out not just here and there. Experience setting up BODS and make sure the integrations are continuing to move smoothly. Continuous operations, real time updates, business continuity, etc. Responsibilities include: • Worked in multiple responsibilities including ETL architecture, ETL design, analysis and development, writing technical specifications translated from participation business and functional requirements meetings. • Works with the business and IT to gather/analyze requirements for optimized solutions; deliverables to include host of existing and new projects and enhancements. • Report out to upper management on strategy and approach with diagrams and documentation • Participates with other members on application code reviews, design communications, requirements, features, functionality and limitations of systems/applications • Utilizes development skills to build code, develop, unit test and deploy new systems functionality per technical specifications. Work with infrastructure, Infosec and architect teams to leverage existing or build new infrastructure related work.
