SDET Tester

Job Title: SDET Location: Remote Required Skills: • 5-7 years of experience working as a Software Development Engineer in Tester (SDET). • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology. (4) Years above the minimum will be accepted in lieu of education. Substitute (2) years for Masters Degree • Self-motivating with excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Experience in performing Independent Testing and Validation activities such as smoke testing, regression testing, functional and non-functional testing in large scale, complex IT environments. • Maintaining Selenium test framework by updating/creating necessary generic object methods and utilities o Cucumber o Selenium o Java • Thorough knowledge of system testing practices, and how testing approaches are affected by System Development Life Cycle choices, including SAFe Agile. • Ability to work with and mentor other team members. • Ability to write automated test scripts from scratch in line with approved software requirements. • Ability to create scripts and test application beyond record and playback. Specifically developing functions, adding control flow logic, loops etc. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. • Positive attitude and driven. • Ability to read and understand workflow diagrams. • Ability to think abstract "outside the box " • Define QC scope and objectives. Preferred Technology Skills/Experience: • Experience working with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (preferred). • Experience and understanding of agile development life cycle.
