Tech (Qualification) Notes:

Java (8+) / Spring boot / OOP / Design Patterns / Concurrency (nice) Docker + any Orchestration tool (K8s / GKS / AKS / OpenShift) Automation experience (onboarding Apps) Dockerizing / Containerizing apps MQ (they use IMB and Rabbit) – Using it for Real-Time and also to move from legacy to net-new (have to keep the old functionality) SQL / RDBMS (80% are Mainframe Db2 and the others are Unix Db2 and SQL Server) They still work with Db2 from a mainframe standpoint SQL – Connectivity / basic queries Moving to NoSQL DevOps – GitHub / Jenkins They harden when they can, but not build Basic Testing – another team handles it They use SonarCube to monitor Azure / GCP Experience working with modern Web servers Nice-to-Haves: Angular / ReactJS / JavaScript NodeJS for compilation Java 11/17 WebSphere / Liberty to work with the 400+ legacy apps (350 are already moved) Project Scope: Multiple Projects – GenX which takes care of all the cloud migrations. They support ‘Health’ and have a goal of moving everything on-prem to cloud. Aru builds the POC and Tech team executes. Some of the work is also based on when they move to Azure, should they use OpenShift, AKS, GKS etc. There is also a support team offshore that works on tasks, but if they get stuck it gets pushed back to this team. Team Size & Breakdown: 2 Onshore resources / 2 Offshore per team Development Methodology: Agile – 2 weeks (they don’t do as much PI, tends to be more Ad-hoc from ‘tickets’ which roll from ServiceNow High-Level Individual Duties: AKS pilot (migrate the app i.e. containerize app + work with Infra Team to push the code) Testing Java batch migrations à cloud Refactoring / Rebuilding services
