Senior Cloud Administrator

Role: Senior Cloud Administrator Location: Chicago, Illinois Duration: 6 + Months Visas: USC, GC Must Haves: • Azure certifications • ITIL Foundation • Microsoft MCSE ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Collaborate with the team to implement well-architected cloud (Azure) solutions, that are cost effective. • Provide architectural and tactical solutions for moving on-prem applications to azure and perform migration. • Perform day to day operations and maintenance of Azure based systems, including but not limited to backup, recovery and resolve complex technical problems. • Design, build and maintain Azure networks, virtual machines, Key vaults, network security groups, SQL PAAS environments, Azure Site Recovery and Azure Backup solutions. • Manage and administer O365 and Teams environment, Identity/security management and integrate with newer tools and solution offerings. • Maximize automation and reduce manual involvement, Monitors and analyzes systems performance and takes corrective actions, documents processes and create SOP’s. • Improve our cloud environment by integrating new technology, optimizing the current environment, and enhancing security • Monitor, backup, and patch Azure IaaS and PaaS services • Manage cloud infrastructure from the portal, PowerShell or using CLI • Assist in managing our Office 365 environment Participate in projects, propose technical solutions Performance Objectives: • First 90 days objectives – Familiarize yourself with AAR’s values, policies and procedures. Learn about the Azure and on premises environment. Start owning incidents and working on projects. • Objectives beyond 90 days – Help build and run applications within Azure. Educate the technology team about Azure products and best practices. Take ownership of projects. Automate repetitive tasks. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
