About the role
Role : Senior Data Developer
Location: Newton, MA(Remote) Duration: Contract – 3-6 months, possibility of converting to FT
Location: Remote, local is ideal to make it a possibility to hire long term.
Work Authorization: only independent candidates… USC and GC only
Interview Mode: Initial 1-hour Video Interview with Neela, and 2nd round with team Why role is open: Work is growing, need additional support.
Project overview: Trying to automate a data flow where they are using some of their internal proprietary data that runs business. For call center. They have Internal and external call centers. 10 million data points. 1 million users? Looking for SME.
Helping out with ETLs, moving the data, querying, big queries is what they are using today so that is a must, but they could have experience with snowflake and redshift. Must is the experience with designing and working with those databases?
Google cloud platform – they don’t need to have this. There is python, linux, and SQL. SQL is a key thing here. And Oracle Database is important because they may have to look at data that is already existent.
The Senior Data Developer will play a key role in in the Design and Development of Data Warehouse / Data Lake / ETL solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You should look at data holistically and ensure that applications, data analysis, modeling, ETL and Business Intelligence work in harmony to fulfill the business strategy. You should thrive on new technical challenges and help innovate our products, technology stack & development processes.
Essential Job Functions:
• Design and develop Datawarehouse / Data Lake solutions on Google Cloud Platform • Design, code, and construct data models, ETL processes • Automate / deploy ETL jobs • Design, implement, test data intensive business applications Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
• 7+ years’ experience • Proficient in development with Python/SQL • Developing large scale ETL pipelines • Developing REST APIs to data sources. • Writing build automation to deploy and manage cloud resources. • Expertise in data warehouse modeling and implementation • Experience in Big Data technology stack (BigQuery preferred) • Experience in Lean/Agile software development approach and DevOps integration for CI/CD • Experience with Oracle/MySQL, PL/SQL (primarily for understanding existing datasets) • Experience with Linux/Unix • Good verbal and written communication skills
