About the role
7 years of experience as a Senior Database Analyst/Architect • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject • A strong SQL developer who can quickly come up to speed on an existing and complex SQL Server database underlying a leading financial based COTS product • Extensive experience in all aspects of Oracle PL/SQL programming and query manipulation. • Some experience working with a SQL Server database, MS Server Power BI, SSRS, and SSIS • Extensive experience working with large sets of data and resolving data-oriented issues. • Extensive experience in tuning queries for optimal performance • Ability to work directly with business users to translate business reporting requests/requirements into a backend database design that clearly identifies database object impacts • Strong communication skills, both written and oral • Ability to investigate and identify query performance related issues • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills • Team player • Good time-management skills • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on team’s success
