Senior Engineer

Role- Senior Engineer Duration- 6 Months Location- Charlotte, NC (onsite 3x a week minimum) Retirement Services & 401k is a HUGE + Role As a Senior Engineer, you will report directly to the Director of Software Engineering. Your primary goals will be to scale the core of our platform, ensuring its resiliency, maintainability, and observability. Within a year, you are expected to deliver at least two scaled modules of our Core Recordkeeping platform. This role requires you to apply various techniques to reliably and predictably scale distributed cloud services both vertically and horizontally across the stack. Within three months, you should be fully integrated into your team and take ownership of the component you are working on. You are expected to show a measurable improvement in code quality at 6-, 9-, and 12-month intervals, with a particular focus on comprehensive testing for our most critical core functionality. Required Skills/Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong experience with Java Strong experience with Spring Boot & Microservices. Experience with ETL/ESB technology Experience with SQL and PostgreSQL. Typescript experience with React Familiarity with Event-driven Processing, Straight-through Processing, and Batch Processing. AWS experience (ECS, CloudFormation, CloudFront, S3, IAM, Cognito, EFS, and RDS) Experience with message brokers Scripting experience (Bash or Python) Experience with Front End Languages (Angular, Node.js, or React) Experience with Business Process Management (BPM) and Business Process Model Notation 2.0 (BPMN 2.0).
