About the role
Title : ServiceNow Developer. Location : Remote Client: TechCU Duration : 6+ Months to full time Location: Remote (PST working hours) MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES Essential Duties · Recommends functional and technical solutions for ServiceNow implementation design/delivery at Tech CU. · Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs new and existing ServiceNow?related software systems and/or applications for internal use. Performs defect corrections (analysis, design, and code). · Produces technical implementation specifications (specs) from requirements for the review, signoff and implementation stages. · Configures and enhances all aspects of ServiceNow including ITSM: Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, Service Catalog, Portal, workflow, client scripts, business rules and more, using out?of? the?box (OOB) functionality as much as possible and only customizing when necessary. · Uses ITOM for essential work in Configuration Management Database (CMDB), Service Mapping, Discovery, Event Management, Cloud Management, and Orchestration/Automation. · Collaborates effectively with various technical and business teams to develop global solutions. · Sets up customizations configuration to be inherited by TechCU staff to continue development, or query/update configuration as needed. · Engages in all phases of the software development lifecycle which includes: gathering and analyzing user/business/functional and technical/system requirements, responding to outages and creating application system models. · Participates in design meetings and consults with business and IT customers to refine, test and debug programs to meet business needs, and interact with (and sometimes direct) third?party partners in the achievement of business and technology initiatives. · Displays a depth of technical understanding and operates independently. · Mentors/enables others on configuring, designing and delivering ServiceNow enhancements, configurations or fixes. Service Standards · Maintains professional work ethic, appearance, and communication style on the telephone, via email and in?person. · Exhibits good writing and verbal communication skills. · Exhibits punctuality and reliability on the job. · Exhibits strong planning, organization, analytical and time management skills. · Prioritizes assignments in order of importance and re?prioritize as the situations demand. · Works under pressure and is flexible and adaptable to a changing environment. · Provides regular progress reports for management on a monthly basis. · Develops and maintains documentation for a variety of ServiceNow DevOpsAdmin aspects. MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelors’ Degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience. Experience: · 5+ years’ Service Now DevOpsAdmin or IT?related experience is required. · Experience with web technologies such as Extensible Markup Language (XML), HyperText Markup Language (HTML), web services and other similar technologies. · Hands?on experience with JavaScript. · Experience leading and directing multiple projects simultaneously. · ServiceNow Integrations experience. · Experience coordinating ServiceNow design/delivery initiatives. · Experience with improving performance and configuration using ServiceNow Best Practices. · Agile Methodology, 5 years’ experience is preferred. · ServiceNow DevOpsAdmin, 5 years’ experience is preferred. Licensing/Certification: A ServiceNow Certification, or equivalent experience.
