About the role
Only on W2 Role :SnowFlake Admin Duration : 6 Months Location :100% Remote Provide Database Admin functions (installing, managing, configuring, optimizing, etc.) for MSPSC databases, which include SQL Server, Postgres, and MySQL. Administer self-managed databases on EC2 and databases hosted in RDS. Assist with the design, maintenance, problem resolution and troubleshooting of all database components, as necessary. Administer big data repositories such as Snowflake. Develops and conducts test to ensure data solutions meet documented user requirements. Collaborates with data engineers/architects to transform data and integrate algorithms and models into automated processes. Works with stakeholders, including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs. Design conceptual and logical data models and flowcharts. Improves system performance by conducting tests, troubleshooting, and integrating new elements. Optimizes new and current database systems. Defines security and backup procedures. Coordinates with the project team to identify future needs and requirements. Perform unit tests and conduct reviews with other team members to make sure your code is rigorously designed, elegantly coded, and effectively tuned for performance. May coach and review the work of less-experienced professionals. Ensure deliverables are completed on time and of high-quality. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned. WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer Science related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience. 5+ years of related experience in IT operations & development Proven work experience as a DBA, Data Architect, or similar role In-depth understanding of database structure principles. Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements. Exposure to Snowflake, DataBricks, Redshift Spectrum or similar platform. Hands on experience creating SQLs that will work on an existing Snowflake (or similar technology) schema. Snowflake development experience is preferred. Snowflake certification is highly desirable. Expertise in SQL and NoSQL Problem-solving attitude High level of self-motivation and initiative Experience with Git/GitHub is highly desirable. Experience supporting Federal, civilian and health agencies is a plus. Experience supporting the Veterans Affairs is a plus. Experience with claims data is a plus.
