About the role
Role: Senior Software Engineer
Location: hybrid -Mclean VA or New York City Duration:12 months
We are looking for Java Developers with AWS experience that are familiar with python. Not much python experience is needed but they should at least be familiar with it. Back End (Java, AWS)
Overview:
A Senior Software Engineer who is passionate about building and pioneering in the technology space. This role focuses on Java-centric development with an understanding of Python, particularly for maintaining existing applications.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in back-end development. Maintain and enhance Java-based applications. Understand and work with existing Python code within current applications. Participate in code reviews and adhere to best practices in software development. Stay updated on new technologies and advancements in the field of software development. Past Capital One experience is going to win here
Bachelor’s Degree: At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply)
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Java Familiarity with Python coding principles 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service 3+ years of experience in open source frameworks
