Role:Director Solutions Architect
Duration:12 months
The Solutions Architecture Director will engage with stakeholders, and IT team to understand the needs, and then prove and design customer centric business solutions. You will own technical and solution envisioning with customers via engagements including demos, custom demos, solution designs, implementation plans and proof of concepts. Focuses across the portfolio of projects engaged with architecture, while supporting individual project or solution architects in that portfolio. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities include: • Provide leadership and facilitation for the Enterprise Solution Architecture Process. • Guide projects on their overall high level solution approach, engagement with the architecture team, and chairs the formal architecture review and approvals meeting. • Apply technical knowledge and customer insights to solution business applications to meet business and IT needs, ensure technical viability and successful deployments, while orchestrating key resources and infusing key Application Development and DevOps technologies (e.g. App Service, containers, serverless, cloud native, etc.) as appropriate • Ensure all solutions exhibit high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, and appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment • Develop deep relationships with key customer IT decision makers and be a Voice of Customer • Maintain technical skills and knowledge of market trends and competitive insights; collaborate and share with the technical community • Be an IT evangelist with customers, stakeholders, partners and communities Qualifications • Experience 12+ years of success in consultative/complex projects, architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications. • Relationship Building. Proven track record of building deep technical relationships with senior stakeholders in large or highly strategic accounts. Experience in managing various stakeholder relationships to get consensus on solution/projects. • Problem Solving. Ability to solve customer problems through appropriate technologies • Collaboration and Communication. Acknowledged for driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow through with exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to orchestrate, lead, and influence virtual teams, ensuring successful implementation of customer projects. Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences (Senior Executives, IT management, Database administrators and Data Scientist) • TOGAF or relevant enterprise architecture framework experience Technical • Enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, and technology management. Subject matter expertise in one or more of the following: • Application development platforms on public clouds and/or Azure in development languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, PHP, C#, Node.JS targeting Android, iOS, Linux, Windows, public clouds or Azure. • Scalable architectures using Azure App Service, API management, serverless technologies, container orchestration (e.g. AKS, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, Pivotal Cloud Foundry etc.), microservices, etc. • Software development practices like DevOps and CI/CD tool chains (i.e. Jenkins, Spinnaker, Azure DevOps, GitHub). • Experience and understanding of large-scale application portfolios in enterprise-wide environments) • Experience using integrated development environments (e.g. Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Eclipse, XCode, WebSphere) • Experience with scalable architectures using Azure App Service, API management, serverless technologies, container orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry etc.), API management, microservice frameworks etc. • Continuous integration technologies (e.g. Jenkins, Azure for DevOps, Chef, Puppet) to deploy Infra as Code preferred • Web application server technologies, cloud application design, software architecture and practices; (design/development/deployment, Agile, SCRUM, ALM); one or more of the following programming languages: C++, C#, Java, Node.js, , Python, Ruby on Rails, Pig/Hive Education • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred • Certification in the following technologies preferred: Cloud, mobile, web application development, cloud-native application preferred
