About the role
Apex Systems has immediate openings available for Solutions Architects with one of our clients that is an IT consulting firm supporting a major DHS program. This position requires someone with Java, J2EE, and Angular experience, as well as someone who can work comfortably and simultaneously in a business, engineering, information technology, and operations environment understanding the government customers' needs and then be able to articulate the solution and capture strategy that targets those needs. Contribute to a large Agile DevSecOps team supporting the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) that sits within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). If you are interested in learning more, apply TODAY! What We Need: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management, Engineering or other STEM related field. In lieu of degree, will consider combination of training, certifications, and years of experience. Minimum eight (8) years of related experience. In-depth knowledge in several of the following areas: large scale IT infrastructure design and integration, logistics services, network and systems integration, network operations, administration and engineering, and legacy systems modernizations/migrations. Proven and successful implementation of architectural designs and strategies that migrated large enterprise systems, and mainframes. Experience with Agile Scrum-based delivery model supported by cross-functional teams. In-depth experience using cloud native development techniques and tools, microservice architectures, and supporting APIs and CI/CD pipelines. Development languages, Java, J2EE, Python, Angular, Node.js, Spring Boot, Spring Framework. Certifications: AWS (Amazon Web Services) Solutions Architect Certification (Associate or Professional). Even Better: AWS Certifications (SysOps, Developer), or Specialty Certifications. Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Certification. Clearance Level: Position of Public Trust DHS EOD (Enter on Duty) Suitability U.S. Citizenship is required.
