Role:Splunk Engineer

Location:Charlotte or Denver or Chicago or Plano, TX Duration:12+ month contract

Requirements

Splunk Engineering: building splunk dashboards, querying (writing queries in SPL), Monitoring configurations, Macros Splunk Administration: Help with TA installation and configurations, troubleshooting connectivity between environments, establishing permissions for appropriate data, tuning queries JIRA and Confluence Cyber Security experience Cloud posture exp or SIEM Splunk Certifications: Power User, Admin, or Architect

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain Splunk infrastructure, apps and knowledge objects Monitor Splunk performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices Manage data ingestion, data parsing, field mappings and data normalization (CIM) Develop Splunk dashboards, reports and scheduled searches Stay up to date with Splunk releases and new features Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to accomplish business needs

Qualifications

• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Splunk administrator or similar role Splunk Certifications (Administrator or similar) Strong understand of Splunk architecture, data ingestion and SPL Knowledge of best practices within Splunk environments Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash) Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
