About the role
Job Description: 1: Designing Schema, Table structures and Administration 2: Help write and optimize in-application SQL statements 3: Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases 4: Handle common database procedures such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc 5: Profile server resource usage, and optimize and tweak as necessary 6: Collaborate with other team members and stakeholder 7: Excellent: troubleshooting, performance tuning, debugging, query optimization, indexing Concepts 8: Superior skills in writing Stored Procedures, functions, triggers, queries, scripts, etc. 9: ETL / Data warehousing knowledge.
Technical Experience: 1: Strong proficiency with SQL and its variation among popular databases 2: Experience with some of the modern relational databases 3: Skilled at optimizing large complicated SQL statements 4: Knowledge of best practices when dealing with relational databases 5: Capable of configuring popular database engines and orchestrating clusters as necessary 6: Ability to plan requirements from high level specifications 7: Capable of troubleshooting common database issue
