About the role
Role:SQL/DB2 DBA
Location:REMOTE Duration:6 Months
Required Skills -DB2 experience is a MUST HAVE- they will be doing a migration from DB2 during the first to months to SQL and then they will step into the SQL DBA role -SQL DBA experience is a MUST HAVE- 4- 5+ years - 3-5 years of SQL Server experience (2012,2014,2016,2019 versions) in a medium to large database server footprint
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Working with DevOps/Windows/UNIX/LINUX/DBD/Application administration teams to provide day-to-day, and on-call support for SQL Server databases. Configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of the SQL Server databases as well as the backups of the same. Troubleshoot SQL Server problems. Providing direct support to DBD and Application teams. Assisting DBD (Database Development) teams to effectively use the computing infrastructure in accordance with corporate standards. Developing custom scripts to automate SQL Server databases management. On call rotation for production systems to provide 24x7 support.
Required Skills: BA/BS degree. 3-5 years of SQL Server experience (2012,2014,2016,2019 versions) in a medium to large database server footprint. Knowledge of SQL Server performance & tuning, security, and diagnostic tools. Knowledge of SQL Server administration tools like IDERA, SQL Server Management Studio. Experience creating, maintaining, and deploying SQL Servers (stand alone and clusters). Experience with Security standards and technologies for SQL Server. Experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment while interfacing with multiple internal clients. Good communication and documentation skills. Team work and knowledge driven.
Desirable Skills: Experience with Idera (monitoring and administration tool). Experience with PowerShell scripting. Experience with Service Now (SNOW). Experience with Agile methodology Experience with JIRA Experience with Amazon Web Services. Knowledge of HIPAA, SOX, and/or PCI compliance. Knowledge of CyberArk. Experience with encryption technologies.
