Summary The Database Administrator will be part of a team responsible for the administration of centrally managed database platforms. The DBA will use their technical expertise and experience related to all aspects of database administration in Oracle to complement and raise the level of service the team provides.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities Required

• SQL Server administration experience • Previous working experience with Unix platforms including automation through scripting. • Knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL • Previous working experience with PowerShell scripting and T-SQL. • Demonstrated analytical and creative problem-solving skills. • Experience with performance tuning, configuration and monitoring • Must be able to work collaboratively as well as independently. • Proven self-starter able to set priorities and manage workload to meet those priorities. • Experience in an environment where change control procedures (especially ITIL) are in use. • Demonstrated ability to develop and document complex procedures. • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Nice to have: • Experience with Oracle Databases 11g and beyond • Experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware is desired • Familiarity with Talend, Layer7, Axway MFT, Ellucian Banner and Autosys is a plus.

Required Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field and 2-5 years of related technical experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
