Sr. Automation Engineer

Only on W2 Role : SR.Automation Engineer Location: Local to Pleasanton, CA– onsite 1-2x/week (No Relocation) Duration: 36 Month C2C (3 year contract with possibilities for FT conversion) Description: -QA engineering background with automation and analysis. Blended automation QA and Business Analysis. -Roughly 10 years of experience ideally. - Understanding of data metrics – Tableau - Requirements gathering - Supervising of the application - Automation testing (Selenium) - Test plan creation, Test case creation, building scripts from scratch - Scripting -Regression testing before releases -Functional testing of feature developments -Mobile Testing/Web Testing of complex applications. -Re-release validation and sign off -Integration testing -70% Automation/30% functional testing -3rd party vendor application – validated through Mobile Device Management system – some through automation (Smoke test/cucumber/selenium framework). -Integration based testing for APIs - critical -PostMan and integration testing of these different data points. -Running SQL queries to validate data changes. Can’t just rely on the API, must do data validation themselves and understand the work-arounds. -Agile QA Process -The candidate should have good communication skills, documentation (test plan, case, results), understand SW development thoroughly with good application and solution validations. -Travel may be required to some of the NCal TPMG Medical centers to execute validation activities. Required Skills -BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related fields -9/10+ years as a QA Engineer Analyst in a mid-large size enterprise/corporation. -Experience with Test Strategy, Test plan and test case creation, execution in agile environment -Hands-on automation solution development using Selenium, Loadrunner, Pupeteer or similar solutions. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document test plans, scripts and test cases, support knowledge base updated -5+ years working with Agile, Scrum processes and experience in documenting use cases and test cases -Experience with incident management and tools like Service Now, JIRA, GIT -Excellent analytical skills to ensure root causes are identified for issues. -Excellent Excel skills to document metrics and trends. -Proficiency for documenting critical events, meetings and flows for communications and learnings. -Ensure requirements traceability is maintained in the validation test scripts and results -Create well-designed presentation and documentation templates -Excellent data analysis and proficiency in SQL to access relational DB -Experience with test data prep for SQL/ NoSQL databases Preferred Skills -3+ years Data, information and business/technology workflow modelling skills for large corporations -Proficiency with advanced Excel, Tableau and data and analytics modelling skills -HealthCare/Medical Center/Hospital work domain knowledge (preferred, not required) -Skills with scripting languages, HTML, website development and collaboration tools such as Teams, Slack, SharePoint etc. are nice to have. -Programming/scripting skills in any scripting tools (Python, Javascript etc). -Expertise in testing a CI/CD micro-services based environment is a plus Demonstrated Soft skills • Ability to take supervision and directions and ensure clarity of deliverables and actions requested. • Diplomatic communication skills • Patience and resilience to solve problems. • Ability to take guidance and directions. • Teamwork and collaboration skills.
