About the role
Role:Sr. Cloud Engineer
Durtaion: 6 Months Location: Remote
Required Skills: Amazon Web Services (AWS) Python Lambda Functions Step Functions EventBridge DynamoDB
Job Description: Need people working on working on Event Driven / Serverless architecture. The integrations with their services is very tightly coupled à results in us only needing to write business logic i.e. we don’t need people who are 100% focused on Python Web Development and Microservices. HAS TO HAVE: Software Engineering background, but has moved into an AWS Cloud Development role / background. Lambdas / Step Functions – need someone who can build ASL for the step-function and understand how it gets triggered with the event function Lambda = Event-Driven Compute Services Step Functions = Visual Workflow Services ASL (Amazon States Language) à defines the state machine When they talk about working on logic, what they mean is using Python to define the services and determine when to use which AWS EventBridge is another major component which is a serverless event bus that ingests the data from the apps Don’t want to pay extra for the compute, they would rather fold it into the step-function Dynamo DB is VERY highly preferred so they get how the indexes work and how data is retrieved AWS IAM roles (AWS Identity & Access Management) à how do they work?
