Sr Devops/Infra Engineer

Role- Sr Devops/Infra Engineer Duration- 6 Months Location- Location is Florham Park, NJ hybrid 3 days in the office 2 days remote Architect – Devops and Infrastructure: The primary objective of this role is to build devops platform that the application relies on to deploy and maintain applications in cloud. This position uniquely bridges the gap between development and operations/engineering branches, fostering collaboration and coordination for optimal application stability. This role will work with the following roles: Build Engineers: Responsibilities include building both the classic and next gen application Devops Engineers: Responsibilities include developing CI/CD pipelines for the application. Build and improve deployment tools that deploy the application into cloud Application Database Administrators (App DBA): Responsibilities include optimizing database performance for the application. Duties: Lead and inspire the build and engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, ownership, and accountability. Architectural Responsibilities: Actively participate in the Architecture Group, providing expertise on long-term devops technology options.  Assess and recommend different devops technologies and processes.  Review database performance optimization strategies.  Support the Performance team in investigations related to database performance.  Support resilience, disaster recovery, and cloud strategies  Collaborate with other architects within the group. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have served as Devops architect for at least 15 years with around 10 years of experience in Azure/AWS. The candidate will be familiar with managing and administering applications deployed in Windows platform. The candidate will have atleast 6 years experience developing applications in any of the leading programming languages: Java, R, Python, C++, .Net. The candidate would have extensive experience in the design and implementation of Cloud Architecture & Administration, DevSecOps and SRE for Agile projects. The candidate would be experienced in the leading containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes etc. Should be experienced in writing Terraform/Cloud Formation scripts/Ansible playbook. Should be familiar with tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket, GIT, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Helm, JFrog Artifactory, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Liquibase etc., He would have worked with SQL Server, Mongo DB or other leading databases Any certifications in AWS or Azure are a huge plus. Write the infrastructure, build the framework to get into the cloud. In the devops area Writing the pipelines, the ci/cd, how to deploy to multiple servers at the same time Mostly .net shop, sql server as the database, building the pipelines to deploy easier. will be aws or azure, whatever they write should be cloud agnostic Develop the automation framework, write scripts to automate stuff for development. on prem right now, no terraform thinking they will be a senior person with what needs to be done design and developed. Could lean more towards more development and less design.
