About the role
Role: Senior IBM ODM Business Rule Engine Developer. Duration: 12 months Location: Chicago, IL (Willis Tower, 1 day per week onsite) - open to 100% remote Very strong preference for Chicago based. Would like the candidate to work in the office 1 day a week (Wednesday or Thursdays would be best) Description: Senior IBM ODM Business Rule Engine Developer: • Lead installation, configuration, and implementation of ODM applications in AWS. • Design and unit test system prototypes, review and present proposed system solutions for approval. • Develop Proof of Concept for ODM Business rules including decision table UI and event processing. • Assists with rules packaging and deployment, including creation of rules deployment automation in AWS. • Develops documents and other development artifacts as needed to support the project and/or organization's development process. Must Haves: • Atleast 5 plus years of experience in development of IBM ODM (V8.10.5 or IBM supported versions) rules design, rule engine/decision center/decision server. • 3+ years of IBM ODM development experience on AWS or other cloud technologies. • 8 to 10 years of experience in Java/J2EE development, REST/SOAP Web Services. • Experience in implementation of real time events using eventing systems such as Tibco BE WebStudio, IBM ODM etc. Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience: • Software development experience in travel industry. • Experience in business rule engine migrations from on-prem to AWS. • Experience in building applications to send real time events via SMS, Email and Mobile Push • Agile software development. • Demonstrable Service Oriented Architecture and Design experience.
