About the role
Role- Sr. QA – FX Duration- 6 Months Location- Remote Backfill for Anand who unfortunately left due to a family emergency.US Bank is currently implementing a Wall Street module known as Continuous Linked Settlement (CLS). Instead of FX settling individually they settle trades in one lump sum. CLS is an FX approved entity for global liquidity providers. Now, post Wall Street, they’re able to participate and leverage CLS. New consultants will get up to speed by testing and becoming familiar with Wall Street and then move them over to CLS specific experience. As part of Scrum Team known as Avengers, Sr. QA – FX will support backend testing of Pricing and Trade Feeds. The apps that connect to Team Avengers’ APIs do the UI Testing. In other words, this team tests APIs and PostgreSQL in support of FX Front Office which includes pricing, trade booking, etc. Perform unit testing within agile team, and end-to-end testing for the FX business line. Review all user stories that are created by PO team and build user specific scripts. Then execute once code is promoted to UAT environment. Experience in FX and backend testing of APIs / DBs is required. Team uses Java to create automated scripts, API testing is done in Swagger to validate functionality and performance of Services…then execute via GitLab. Address Tech Debt – since team has been running lean they have a backlog of scripts they’d like to automate. We need someone with at least ability to execute via Java and execute via GitLab. Ideal candidate will be able to design and develop the scripts. From a functional perspective, ideal Sr. QA candidate will have working knowledge of FX systems - an understanding of Pricing profiles and Margin profiles is highly desired. Other Requirements: 3-5 years’ experience in Foreign Exchange industry. Alternately, 2 years’ FX industry + 2 in capital markets (Transferrable industry knowledge: Interest rate derivatives with a cross-country component, non-dollar securities or equities, International trade finance, International Payments) Experience in UAT, Unit Testing, Integration and Regression testing Experience developing Test Cases, Test Scenarios, and documentation Experience writing SQL queries. Experience with Jira (houses their test scripts), Microsoft Teams and suite of applications (task management, issue tracking) Payments-related experience Basic knowledge of microservices and cloud platforms (they use AWS) Data analysis skills are key since they do SQL comparisons quite a bit. Screening questions: Have you analyzed, documented, and/or created processes surrounding trade execution and confirmation matching? If so, please detail system(s) and/or testing techniques/methodologies? Do you have testing experience with an FX BackOffice system such as Wall Street? What’s the extent of your experience testing accounting and/or settlement processes? What experience, if any, do you have coordinating testing across FX transactions from Front Office, Middle Office, to settlement?
