Sr. Software Engineer

Role: Sr. Software Engineer – Supply Chain Demand Analyst Location: Lakeland, FL between Orlando and Tampa Duration: 6 + Months Description The Supply Chain Platform Team is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer who will be responsible administering various application servers, installing applications, working with developers to research and troubleshoot issues, automating tasks via programs and scripts, performance tuning applications and assisting and collaborating with our business users. Further duties include performing data analysis by creating and executing complex queries, interpreting results, and communicating findings to technical and non-technical audiences. As a member of this technology team, you will work closely with our vendors, our team’s product owners as well as other Supply Chain team product owners to ensure the demand and replenishment planning vendor applications are performing at their best on our environments. The candidate is expected to understand multiple technologies and how they are used to enable large scale systems to support Supply Chain complex business processes. The candidate must be able to perform rapid issue resolution, determine root cause analysis of issues, research, evaluate alternative and provide solution recommendations. The candidate must possess a desire to learn new processes, technologies, and participate in production support activities as part of an on-call rotation. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other analytical discipline or equivalent experience • 5-7 years’ experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise applications • 5-7 years’ experience working with an enterprise RDBMS like Oracle • Minimum 2 years’ experience writing Unix/Linux shell scripts • Minimum 2 years’ extracting data from multiple data sources i.e., Teradata, SQL Server, DB2 • Minimum 2 years’ working with large volume of data and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) • Understanding of Software Development Lifecycles (SDLC) Additional Required Qualifications Preferred Qualifications • 7+ years’ experience supporting and developing enterprise applications running a multi-platform distributed environment • 4+ years’ experience writing Unix/Linux shell scripts and ability to troubleshoot script issues • 4+ years’ experience using Oracle PL/SQL for batch processes using collections, dynamic SQL, and parallel processing • Experience leveraging .NET framework • Functional and technical knowledge of Blue Yonder (formerly JDA) demand and fulfillment Supply Chain systems.
