About the role
Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer Duration: 8 month+ long term contractLocation: 100% remote, Required Skills :Strong experience with Cisco UCS blades, Fabric Interconnects, and technologies Strong experience with VMware 6.7 and 7.0, and technologies Strong experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2016 and 2019 technologies Duration: 8 month+ long term contractLocation: 100% remoteDuties will include, but not be limited to:Build the and configure environment, both physical and virtualCreate documentation, including run books, Visio drawings, update CMDB, etc.Work with Networking, Architecture, Datacenter Operations, application owners, vendors, etc. to gather requirements, establish standards, etc.Ensure Datacenter and Network preparedness for new hardwareCreate and work on Change Tickets, Service Requests, and Incidents as dictated by the workflow and ManagementReview ticket queues and resolve tickets in a timely mannerPlan with Application owners to migrate systems to New datacenterAdd capacity to physical and virtual infrastructure where requiredExecute on application migration plansIdentify applications that will be P2V’dExecute plans to refresh or decommission server components in IDC 5, 6, and 7Work may require off hours and weekend support Required Skills:Strong experience with Cisco UCS blades, Fabric Interconnects, and technologiesStrong experience with VMware 6.7 and 7.0, and technologiesStrong experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2016 and 2019 technologiesStrong understanding of block and file storage technologiesStrong understanding of networking technologiesStrong understanding of security technologiesStrong PowerShell scripting and automation experienceExperience with datacenter migrations, including VM, P2V and physical migrationsPrefer experience with VxRail and vSAN technologiesOther duties as directed Thanks & Regards Syam B, 630-923-6952 syam@thoughtwavesoft.com
