Job Description: Site Reliability Engineer is a critical member of the Disney Signature Experiences SRE Team whose primary role is to support full-stack of DSE applications and architecture. They will be supporting monitoring solutions that help to provide visibility to all groups with DSE. This role will focus on sustaining the monitoring tools with goals to increase efficiency, decrease friction, and advance our monitoring and automating offerings.
Responsibilities
- 3 or more years experience deploying and supporting solutions centered around the Kubernetes container orchestration platform, Kubernetes operators, and its ecosystem of projects. 2. Experience as a full-stack software engineer to build, implement, and maintain tools automation, and monitoring solutions. 3. Assist in designing and implementing front-end/user-interfaces which are primarily built to assist Systems Engineers and other IT professionals to use monitoring systems efficiently and reliably. 4. Maintain high level of production environment availability using automation and monitoring tools. 5. Experience supporting applications that span both on prem, on ship, and in the cloud. 6. Combines software engineering and site reliability engineering best practices to build and run large-scale, distributed, fault-tolerant systems with a focus on optimization and toil reduction through automation 7. Demonstrated understanding of how to configure and use code management, configuration, and deployment tools, including: git, GitHub, GitLab, etc. 8. Proficiency using desired state tools such as Ansible 9. Strong experience with Cloud computing and infrastructure such as AWS – EC2, Lambda, API Gatewa 10. Understanding of basic SRE tenant 11. Experience working with object oriented languages such as Java, Node, and .NET
