About the role
Title: Sustaining engineer with java Location: Hybrid Andover MA Duration: 6Months Job Description
Must-Haves (Concepts & Tools):
- 4+ years’ of experience with Java
- Scripting (ideally w/ Bash)
- Experience with Docker
Project Scope / Components: • The Sustaining team helps fix any issues with the control software for the bots. The onsite team will escalate any issues to the NOC team and the Sustaining team will take on any issues that the NOC team escalates to them. This team is responsible for analyzing & troubleshooting software issues, identifying risks with the software & documenting the issues. Right now the team size is 5 folks, but they are looking to grow this team as they add more sites. • It is a Java based system. They use scripting for identifying the issues and work a lot with Docker & Redis.
High-Level Individual Duties: • Triage software issues and come up with fixes. • Analyze and troubleshoot software issues at production sites. • Work across teams to solve and communicate status of issues • Document issues and their solutions using. • Clearly communicate status of issues internally and externally. • Create and track key sustaining performance metrics and status. • Plan and coordinate software maintenance and patch releases. • Identify and clearly communicate issues, status, risks, and metrics.
