Role: Systems Administrator Duration: 12 Months Location: Remote Required Skills: Must have RabbitMQ messaging experience Systems Admin/Engineer background likely They use Jira for tracking their work Job Descripition: Overview: Hosting Services is a key component of TIS (Technology Infrastructure Services) organization. The RabbitMQ team is responsible for the design, implementation and support of infrastructure of a highly available Message Queue transport across mainframe and distributed environments. This support is crucial to applications effectively leveraging business data in an enterprise environment. Enterprise Responsibilities (RabbitMQ Pivotal Cloud Foundry Messaging Brokers): • Provide technical support for RabbitMQ tasks/projects while following governance standards • Extract Metrics and Logs in Splunk for RabbitMQ Customers for troubleshooting, alerting, etc. • Interface with other technology support organizations • Track work in Jira • Follow Change Control procedures and policies • Enforce Standard Operating Procedures and best practices • Create technical documentation on Confluence • Deploy RabbitMQ objects with application code promotions Qualifications: • Requires a BA/BS degree and/or 2+ years of experience working with any messaging product • Detail oriented • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Requires strong verbal and written communication skills • Requires strong problem determination and resolution skills as well as problem and change management disciplines.
