Test Automation Engineer

Role:Test Automation Engineer-Mobile

Key skills: Java, Appium, API automation Location:Dublin, OH (onsite preferred but can be remote)

Mobile Testing and Automation: o Over 7 years of experience in Mobile testing, with a focus on iOS and Android. o Proficient in mobile test automation tools, preferably Appium, Selenium, and Java. o Independent execution of automation for both iOS and Android platforms. API and Microservices: o Deep understanding and experience in API design with OpenAPI standard. o Proficiency in REST WS, JSON, and documenting APIs for internal and external use. o Experience with Microservices architecture. Programming and Software Testing: o Strong programming skills coupled with expertise in software testing. o Ability to test client-server applications, microservices, event-driven data transfer, and real-time applications.

Testing Methodologies: o Experience with Smoke, Functional, and Regression testing. o Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies. Test Automation Tools: o Experience with automation tools such as Appium, Selenium, Jenkins, Jira, and Git integration. Mobile Cloud Test Lab: o Familiarity with Mobile Cloud test lab environments, e.g., Browserstack, SauceLabs.

Collaboration and Communication: o Excellent communication and reporting skills. o Ability to collaborate closely with developers and automation testers to ensure quality deliverables.

Continuous Integration: o Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, Bamboo.

Responsibilities

• Execution of Automation: o Independently execute automation for both iOS and Android platforms using Appium.

• Recommendation and Implementation:

• o Recommend new tools and independently implement Proof of Concepts (POCs). Collaborative Testing: o Collaborate closely with development teams and automation testers to ensure deliverables meet quality standards.

• Test Planning and Execution: o Work with development teams to plan, implement, and track end-to-end testing activities. o Support test planning, manual and automated test cases/scripts, and test execution.

• Failure Analysis and Reporting: o Conduct effective failure analysis and provide consistent testing status reports to the team and leadership.

Agile Team Contribution: o Function as a leading member of the agile team and help drive consistent testing practices. Quality Assurance Leadership: o Ensure the engineering team delivers a quality product that meets the defined Acceptance Criteria. Coaching and Mentoring: o Coach and mentor other Quality Assurance team members to contribute to effective testing practices.

API Documentation: o Create and maintain comprehensive API documentation using frameworks like Swagger.
