About the role
Role:Test Engineer Location:Prefer Milwaukee, WI, open to 100% Remote Duration:12+ months Must Haves: Node JavaScript or C# Postman for API testing Gherkin SQL GIT CI/CD Job Description: As a technical, hands-on Test Engineer, your job is to participate in the manual and automation testing of various components and microservices that build up into a highly integrated financial planning tool. Engineers are heavily involved with the Scrum process and interface heavily with product experts to paint a clear picture of end-state and delivery expectations. You will work to automate key workflows at the UI and API levels after testing stability as well as helping work on CI/CD templates to run these different tests. Product domain knowledge will be built up and put to use when troubleshooting interesting cases and you will feel the impact of your troubleshooting and work as this role is on a highly visible, top tier app. We work in a competitive and fast paced environment but we work together and we win and lose as a team. You will be reporting to a Manager of Test Engineering and will be joining a team with an already-established testing process. What this role needs: Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodology Working proficiency of at least one programming language (JavaScript or C# experience preferred) Experience working within test automation frameworks (Gherkin experience preferred) Experience with GQL or similar technologies Experience with Node or similar technologies Experience with SQL Experience with API testing (Postman experience preferred) Background in manual testing, test planning and test case creation Comfortable using Git, Gitlab Ability to keep up with industry programming standards and being comfortable with bleeding edge and POC tech Openness to learn to work on CI/CD pipelines Strong communication ability to keep interested parties up to date on timelines and progress Appreciation of well-organized and regularly updated documentation Willingness to pick up ad hoc activates that may come up to ensure a world class customer experience Thanks & Regards, PremTarun P IT-Recruiter Staffing | Thoughtwave Software and Solutions Desk: 6306182581 | Email:tarun@wavsols.com
