Role: Windows SME Duration: 6 Months Location: 100% REMOTE Experience: • Windows: 10+ years • SCCM/SCOM: 10+ years • Citrix/VDI Engineering and Administration: 10+ years Qualifications: BA/BS + 9 to 13 years’ experience Tasks and Responsibilities: • Assessing the stability, security, and scalability of installed Windows systems. • Installing or upgrading Windows systems and servers. • Performed cross platform audits of Active Directory (AD) objects and user permissions. • Managed User Accounts on WindowsNT and UNIX Platform (Creation, Deletion, Permissions, and VPN Access). • Developed organizational units in Active Directory (AD) and managed user security with group policies. • Maintained and managed Domain Name Service (DNS) for AETC Active Directory (AD) enterprise • Experience in design of DNS, DHCP and NTP Architecture and Infoblox Grid technology integration. • Managed Group Policy Objects (GPOs) throughout the Active Directory (AD) enterprise • Provides Tier 3 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems. • Able to coordinate and partner with various team, network engineers/administrators, and customer organizations in the execution of daily tasks. • Strong understanding of Active Directory, particularly with implementing/troubleshooting Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and Group Policy Preferences (GPPs) • Troubleshoot failed SCCM deployments and SCCM health issues • Administer SCCM software delivery, including various methods such as running advertised programs, machine targeted, user targeted, Application Library, and Software Center • Create, manage, and administer SCCM software packages and deployments • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server OS, roles and features, management with GUI and PowerShell • SCOM, deployment Implementation experience. • Deep technical & architectural knowledge in following SCOM designs, test, deployment. • SCOM administration or solid experience in systems development, network operations, software support. • Plans upgrades of operating systems and designs systems enhancements. • Develops documentation on new or existing systems. • Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system problems. • Serves as liaison with clients, participating in meetings to ensure client needs are met. • Participates in special projects as required. • Has full technical knowledge of all phases of systems engineering • Excellent communication skills; shows tact, effective listening skills and follow through • Able to review the work of others and detect errors or needed modifications • Able to identify and resolve problems or inadequacies of systems engineering • Proficient in Microsoft Infrastructure components: Microsoft Server 2012/2016, Active Directory, DNS, DFS, DHCP, Group Policy, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, Office, IIS • Proficient with maintaining virtualization environments: VMware, Hypervisor and Citrix. • Experience with Active Directory domains and trusts, security delegation and file share security • Basic networking experience and understanding of LAN switching and VLANs • Experience with remote server administration using HPE iLO • SCCM, Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) • Experience performing SCCM administrator responsibilities, which include software import and deployment process • Active Directory Multi Forest Management within Trusts, Active Directory Federation Services • Provide Operation and Sustainment support for the virtualization environment. • Ensure virtualization systems are compliant within required security standards. • Develop and maintain O&S Standard Operating Procedures for VMware virtualization environment. • Within established procedures, responds to end user requests for technical support and assistance. • Support off-hours maintenance activities. • Support the Certification and Accreditation process for virtualization hosts. • Gain familiarity with current data center infrastructure. • Deploy new server and workstations through SCCM for physical and VMware templates for Virtual Machines • Maintaining and administer Group Policy Objects in Microsoft Active Directory • Assist team with continuous monitoring, implementation and troubleshooting of required patch compliance for all client and server devices utilizing SCCM server • Responsibilities may require periodic evening and weekend work in response to needs of the systems being supported.
