Freelance Network Automation Engineer Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Network Automation Engineer for a part-time remote opportunity supporting large-scale cloud networking environments. The role involves working with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) network systems, automation frameworks, network lifecycle management, and production support. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in BGP, OSPF, network protocols, network devices, Python automation, monitoring, and troubleshooting . You will collaborate with engineering teams, support network operations, automate repetitive tasks, perform root cause analysis, and contribute to network reliability improvements. Key Responsibilities: - Support OCI cloud network operations and infrastructure improvements - Participate in network deployment, upgrades, and lifecycle management activities - Troubleshoot complex network issues and perform root cause analysis (RCA) - Develop Python-based automation scripts for network operations - Work with network telemetry, monitoring tools, and performance optimization - Collaborate with network vendors for software/firmware issue resolution - Create and improve operational runbooks and automation workflows - Support production incidents and escalation activities Requirements: - Strong experience with routing protocols: BGP, OSPF - Hands-on experience with enterprise network devices - Experience in network automation using Python - Knowledge of network monitoring and telemetry solutions - Experience in cloud/network infrastructure support - Ability to troubleshoot large-scale production environments - Experience with RCA and incident management Work Mode: Remote Engagement: Part-Time / Contract Chance Experience Level: Senior / IC4 Level Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Network Automation Engineer for a part-time remote opportunity supporting large-scale cloud networking environments.
