Location: Bangalore / Hyderabad, India Employment Type: Contract Work Mode: Onsite (Work from Office) Experience: 1+ Years About the Role We are looking for a Server Management Administrator (Linux Consultant) with 1+ years of experience in Linux server administration and infrastructure management. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Linux server installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, cloud platforms, patch management, and system administration. Candidates should possess strong analytical, communication, and customer-focused skills with the ability to work in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, monitor, and decommission physical and virtual Linux servers. Perform Linux OS administration, troubleshooting, and system performance optimization. Install, upgrade, and patch SUSE Linux servers using Zypper. Configure and administer DNS, SAMBA, AUTOFS, CIFS, FTP, user accounts, and permissions. Manage Logical Volume Manager (LVM), including resizing, extending, and maintenance. Troubleshoot GRUB bootloader issues and system startup problems. Support SUSE Pacemaker Cluster configuration and troubleshooting. Manage server incidents, service requests, changes, and problem management following ITIL best practices. Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for production incidents. Support cloud infrastructure on AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Assist Level 2 support teams with complex technical issues. Prepare technical documentation and participate in knowledge transfer sessions. Participate in on-call support, including weekends and public holidays, as required. Required Skills 1+ years of Linux Server Administration experience. SUSE Linux Administration. Server Installation & Maintenance (Physical/Virtual). Linux Troubleshooting. DNS Administration. LVM Management. GRUB Configuration & Troubleshooting. SUSE Pacemaker Cluster. Zypper Patch Management. SAMBA, AUTOFS, CIFS & FTP Administration. User & Permission Management. ITIL Incident, Change & Problem Management. AWS / Microsoft Azure / Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Root Cause Analysis. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline. Knowledge of SAP infrastructure environments is an added advantage. Willingness to travel based on project requirements.
