Job Title: Vice President - Senior ServiceNow Developer Location : Pune IC Role Purpose of the Role: To design, develop, and improve software using various engineering methodologies that provide business, platform, and technology capabilities for customers and colleagues. Accountabilities: Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools, ensuring code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance. Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration with business objectives. Participate in code reviews, promote a culture of code quality, and foster knowledge sharing. Stay informed of industry technology trends and contribute to technology communities to promote technical excellence and growth. Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions. Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability. Vice President Expectations: Advise key stakeholders, including leadership teams and senior management, on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment. Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of control and governance. Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls within the team's work. Understand organizational functions to contribute to achieving business goals. Collaborate with various work areas to stay aligned with business activity and strategies. Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought, comparing complex alternatives and using interpretative thinking for problem-solving and innovation. Seek out, build, and maintain trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders, using influencing and negotiating skills to achieve business outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Lead ServiceNow development activities, including working with ServiceNow modules and third-party integrations, REST APIs, and Integration Hubs. Customize and enhance existing ITSM/ITOM tools and processes. Collaborate with business analysts, architects, testing teams, and process teams to align technical solutions with business needs. Identify areas for process and tooling improvements, ensuring protection in process, security, and performance aspects. Design end-to-end solutions, improve configurations, and drive rollouts of new applications and modules. Follow continuous improvement best practices, identifying opportunities and delivering solutions using Agile development processes. Incorporate risk management practices and authentication mechanisms into the development cycle. Mandatory Requirements: 10 years of ServiceNow developer experience. Preferred Qualifications: ServiceNow certifications (e.g., CSM, CSA, ITSM, CTA). Experience gathering and translating business requirements into technical designs. Awareness of the latest ServiceNow capabilities, trends, and best practices. Mentorship experience, guiding junior developers and team members. Additional Skills: Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, and digital/technology expertise. Ability to navigate change and transformation, balancing risk and control considerations with innovation.
