About the role
As a member of the team, your role will involve developing and maintaining advanced statistical models to assess and manage various financial risks. You will be responsible for designing, building, validating, and implementing statistical models used to predict and manage credit, market, and operational risks. Key responsibilities include: - Developing and validating statistical models for credit risk, market risk, and operational risk. - Performing data analysis and manipulation using various statistical software packages. - Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into model requirements. - Preparing reports and presentations communicating model performance and findings. - Maintaining and updating existing models as needed. - Staying abreast of advancements in financial modeling techniques and regulatory changes. Required Qualifications and Skills: - Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or a related quantitative field. - 2-4 years of experience in financial modeling or a related role. - Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SAS, R, Python). - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and presentation skills.
