Senior PHP Developer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior PHP Developer to join our Research & Development team and play a key role in building and scaling enterprise-grade, cloud-based SaaS products used by global customers. This role requires a hands-on Technical Lead who actively contributes to design and development while guiding teams technically. This is not a programming/project management–only role ; strong coding ownership is essential. Key Responsibilities Architect, design, and develop scalable SaaS applications using PHP Lead backend development of core systems, APIs, and business logic Act as a hands-on technical lead, setting coding standards and best practices Mentor developers through code reviews, technical guidance, and problem-solving Collaborate with frontend, QA, DevOps, and product teams to deliver features end-to-end Participate in architectural decisions, performance optimization, and technical roadmap planning Analyze and resolve complex production and system-level issues Continuously evaluate new tools and technologies to improve platform quality Required Skills & Experience 8+ years of strong PHP development experience with modern frameworks Proven experience as a Technical Lead in a product-based environment Experience with PostgreSQL and Test-Driven Development (TDD) Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks such as React or Angular Proficiency with PHPStorm and Git-based workflows Good to Have Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD Shell scripting, Node.js Startup or SaaS product experience Engineering degree preferred
