About the Role We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive Senior DevOps Engineer to join our infrastructure team and play a critical role in enhancing the scalability, reliability, and performance of our systems. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our platform's core components, including Apache Kafka, distributed data systems, and observability tooling. You will lead initiatives around cost optimization, automation, and CI/CD to ensure seamless and efficient operations across environments. Work Responsibilities Proven expertise in managing and tuning Apache Kafka clusters, with a strong focus on cost optimization, resource efficiency, and high throughput performance. Deep expertise in observability tools including ELK, Loki, Promtail, and Grafana. Ability to design and implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and Signoz. Strong hands-on experience with distributed data systems and caching technologies, including HDFS, Redis, Apache Spark,Mysql and Cassandra. Strong understanding of cost optimization strategies for virtual machines (VMs), including rightsizing, instance scheduling, reserved instances, and autoscaling best practices. Hands-on experience with Akamai for content delivery, caching, and web performance optimization. Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, Go, etc.). Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for rapid, reliable deployment(Jenkins). Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and application deployment. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Solid understanding of networking, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and VPCs. Monitor systems and respond to incidents, outages, and performance degradation. Hands on experience on coding as well. Nice to have Deep understanding of container orchestration (Kubernetes and Docker) Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure). Background in software engineering or Coding practices Skills, Experience & Expertise Knowledge of Apache Kafka, ELK, Hadoop, HDFS, Redis,Cassendra, Spark and monitoring tools Basic Knowledge of coding Grip on debugging and troubleshooting on Linux environments Good communication and data analytical skills Past experience of working on Multi distributed system Eligibility A minimum of 8 years of experience in a related field of work M.tech or MCA from a premier institute Software engineer(Coding) background will serve as a major advantage
