About the role
Role Overview: You will be joining our dynamic IT team as a skilled and experienced Data / Big Data Testing Engineer. Your main responsibility will be to design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for our data warehousing, big data platforms, and business intelligence solutions. Your role will be crucial in maintaining the quality, integrity, and reliability of our data pipelines and reporting systems. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and execute test strategies, plans, and test cases for data pipelines, ETL processes, data warehouses, and big data solutions. - Perform data validation, data integrity checks, and end-to-end testing of data flows from source systems to reporting layers. - Test data quality, accuracy, completeness, and consistency across various data platforms. - Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts to understand data requirements and identify potential data quality issues. - Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools. - Automate testing processes where possible, utilizing relevant tools and frameworks. - Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulatory requirements. - Participate in code reviews and design discussions related to data architecture and testing.
