Machine Vision Engineer (Battery Equipment) Roles & Responsibilities Design and implement machine vision solutions for battery and cell manufacturing equipment.Select and integrate cameras, lenses, optics, lighting systems, sensors, and vision hardware based on application requirements.Develop, configure, and deploy vision inspection applications for defect detection, alignment, dimensional measurement, OCR/barcode reading, and presence/absence verification. Integrate vision systems with PLCs, automation controllers, robots, and machine handling/reject mechanisms.Perform vision system commissioning, validation, and optimization on manufacturing lines. Conduct camera calibration, lighting optimization, image acquisition tuning, and performance validation to achieve high inspection accuracy and repeatability. Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), machine qualification, and customer commissioning activities. Troubleshoot machine vision systems and resolve hardware, software, and inspection-related issues at customer sites. Analyze inspection data and drive continuous improvements in vision system performance, yield, and reliability. Establish vision system standards, best practices, and documentation for deployment and maintenance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including controls, PLC, electrical, mechanical, process, and manufacturing engineers. Support development of innovative inspection technologies, 2D/3D vision applications, and advanced metrology solutions. Desired QualificationB.E./B.Tech in ECE, EEE, E&I, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, Robotics, or related engineering discipline. 36 years of experience in machine vision engineering, vision system integration, or industrial automation. Strong hands-on experience with Cognex, Keyence, Halcon, Basler, NI Vision, OpenCV, or similar vision platforms. Expertise in camera selection, optics, illumination techniques, image processing, and vision system optimization. Experience integrating vision systems with PLCs, industrial networks, and automation equipment. Knowledge of GigE Vision, EtherCAT, Profinet, and industrial communication protocols. Experience in 2D/3D vision, laser profiling, metrology, OCR, barcode reading, and defect inspection is preferred. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced project environment. Experience in battery manufacturing, special-purpose machines, semiconductor equipment, or precision automation industries will be an added advantage.
