Engineer- Control Engineering

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and test PLC programs for steel rolling mills and processing lines. Develop HMI/SCADA systems for industrial automation applications. Integrate hardware and software modules into the overall system to meet customer requirements as per project specifications. Interface drives with automation systems using field communication networks such as Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet, and Profinet. Support site commissioning activities, with approximately 40% travel based on project requirements. Collaborate with lead engineers or lead a team to ensure engineered solutions meet customer requirements defined in project specifications. Prepare and maintain project documentation as per customer and project standards. Adhere to engineering best practices, design standards, and development processes; suggest and implement improvements where applicable. Work within a multidisciplinary engineering team including Control, Hardware, Level 2, and Drive engineers. Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering. 2 to 8 years of relevant experience. Strong technical skills in: PLC Programming Drives HMI/SCADA systems Academic performance with a CGPA of 7.0 or above. Essential Skills & Traits Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Self-motivated and adaptable to dynamic project requirements. Willingness to travel on short notice for site commissioning activities. Preferred / Desired Qualifications Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Visio. Strong fundamentals in motors, control systems, and power systems. Hands-on commissioning experience. Experience in the metals industry, including hot/cold rolling mills, processing lines, and bar/wire rod mills.
