Discover the Role The Canvas App Developer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-grade Canvas and Power Applications across TMF Group. This role focuses on translating business requirements into robust, scalable, and user-friendly applications within the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem. The developer acts as a subject matter expert (SME) for Canvas and Model-Driven Apps, Dataverse, and Power Automate, ensuring high-quality, production-ready solutions rather than prototypes. The position demands strong technical expertise, architectural decision-making capabilities, and close collaboration with business stakeholders, IT teams, and clients. A successful candidate will demonstrate ownership, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a passion for building impactful business solutions. Key Responsibilities Application Development Support Design, develop, and support custom Canvas and Model-Driven applications within the Microsoft Dynamics and Power Platform environment Ensure applications are production-grade, scalable, high-performing, secure, and accessible Provide ongoing support and enhancements for existing Power Platform solutions Subject Matter Expertise Technical Leadership Act as an SME for Canvas App development, system configuration, technical requirements, and platform upgrades Provide guidance on best practices, performance tuning, UI responsiveness, and accessibility standards Make informed architectural decisions across Power Platform components Business Analysis Stakeholder Collaboration Lead or participate in client and stakeholder analysis sessions to gather and define business requirements Translate functional requirements into technical designs and working solutions Communicate effectively with business users, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical delivery Dataverse CRM Customization Extend CRM capabilities through creation of custom entities, forms, workflows, business rules, and reports Implement server-side business logic using plugins, custom APIs, and pre/post images Manage error handling, transactions, and data integrity within Dataverse Power Automate Integrations Design and build complex multi-step Power Automate flows with advanced error handling Implement cloud flows, child flows, HTTP actions, and custom connectors Design and manage integrations between Microsoft Dynamics applications and external systems Architecture, ALM Governance Define and implement solution architecture, including solution layering and environment strategies (Dev/Test/Prod) Decide between Canvas vs Model-Driven apps and Plugins vs Flows based on use cases Support ALM and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and source control Testing, Deployment Quality Assurance Perform application testing for configurations, customizations, and integrations Support deployment activities and solution versioning using managed and unmanaged solutions Ensure compliance with development lifecycle standards and governance practices Qualifications Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline Mandatory Technical Skills Canvas Apps Development (Must Have) Strong hands-on experience in Canvas App development (production-grade applications) Proficiency in Power Fx formulas and performance tuning Experience designing responsive and accessible user interfaces Hands-on experience with custom connectors Solution development, packaging, and versioning Dataverse Development (Must Have) Strong experience with Dataverse and Common Data Service (CDS) Server-side business logic implementation Plugin development with understanding of pre/post images Development of custom APIs Robust error handling and transaction management Power Automate Development (Must Have) Experience building complex, multi-step workflows Knowledge of different trigger types for cloud flows Implementation of scopes, error handling, and retry logic Experience with child flows, HTTP actions, and custom connectors Architecture Design (Must Have) Strong understanding of architectural trade-offs Plugin vs Power Automate Flow Canvas vs Model-Driven applications Solution layering strategies Environment management (Development, Test, Production) Good to Have Skills ALM and DevOps ownership for Power Platform solutions CI/CD implementation using Power Platform Build Tools Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions pipeline experience Managed vs unmanaged solution strategies Source control setup for Canvas Apps (unpacking solutions) Azure integrations SQL / T-SQL knowledge PCF (PowerApps Component Framework) controls Model-Driven app design experience with reporting and integrations Additional Skills Strong understanding of application development lifecycle Experience with object-oriented design and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) Experience using source control systems and CI/CD environments Proven verbal and written communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional and global teams Disclaimer : This job posting has been aggregated from external source.
