Azure Infrastructure Engineer

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Azure Infrastructure Engineer with 4+ years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud environments while ensuring compliance with organizational and industry best practices. Key Responsibilities: Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. Configure and manage Virtual Machines (VMs), Virtual Networks (VNet), NSGs, Load Balancers, VPNs, and Azure networking components. Manage Azure Active Directory (AAD), RBAC, and identity access management. Implement backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions. Monitor performance and availability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and related tools. Perform system upgrades, patch management, and security hardening. Automate infrastructure deployment using ARM Templates, Terraform, or Azure DevOps. Manage Azure storage solutions including Blob, File Storage, and Managed Disks. Troubleshoot cloud, server, and network-related issues. Maintain proper documentation of infrastructure, configurations, and processes. Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 4+ years of hands-on experience in Azure Infrastructure and Cloud Management. Strong understanding of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, Firewall, VPN). Experience with Windows and/or Linux server administration Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps. Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. Experience in repository management, including branching strategies, pull requests, and code versioning best practices Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. Experience working with Azure Data Services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Azure Databricks. Experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM Templates and Terraform (knowledge of Bicep is an added advantage). Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell for automation tasks. Good understanding of cloud security standards and best practices. Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Preferred Skills: Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-104 / AZ-305 or equivalent). Experience working in hybrid cloud environments.
