About the internship: Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include: 1. Architectural Layout Drafting: Creating a digital blueprint that balances residential spaces (kitchen, bedrooms) with a functional NGO workspace (meeting areas, workstations, separate entrances). 2. Material Quantity Takeoffs: Using civil engineering formulas to calculate the exact quantities of raw materials needed (concrete volume, steel tonnage, brick counts) directly from the drawings. 3. Dynamic BOQ Preparation: Building an exhaustive spreadsheet listing every anticipated expense category from excavation and foundation to plumbing, electrical, and painting. 4. Remote Sourcing & Costing: Finding live 2026 market rates via phone/internet from bulk construction material suppliers in Hyderabad and plugging those quotes into the budget sheet. 5. Building Bye-Law Verification: Researching local regulatory boundaries and FSI constraints to ensure the plan complies with gram panchayat or town planning rules and avoids rejection.
