Senior IT Specialist

Role description Roles and Responsibilities · 7+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering, with at least 2–3 years in a management, team lead, or NOC supervisor role. · Lead, mentor, and manage a team of L1/L2/L3 network engineers and NOC analysts. · Oversee the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise network equipment, including switches, routers, and wireless infrastructure. · Ensure proactive monitoring of network performance, bandwidth utilization, and hardware health to prevent service degradation. · Serve as the primary point of escalation for critical (P1/P2) network incidents and major outages. · Coordinate cross-functional rapid response teams (including InfoSec, project teams, and service providers) during critical infrastructure events. · Manage relationships with ISPs, hardware vendors, and MSPs, ensuring adherence to external SLAs and negotiating maintenance contracts. · A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and automation. · Direct and build (staff, train, and maintain employee skill levels) the team that troubleshoots, repairs, and monitors customer's network and security services. · Create, maintain, and enforce all processes and procedures for the team. · The ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently as required and Self-motivated with a positive attitude towards work. · Manage internal/external audit process to ensure compliance with all the processes. · Must Have Skills: ø Working experience with Firewalls, Switches, Router, SDWAN, VPN, VOIP, WAN, LAN. (Fortinet, Cisco, and other vendors) ø Experience with NOC operations, Web proxy, DC-DR architecture, IPS/IDS, Cloud Networking, NAC, WAF preferred. · Certification: Web proxy, CCNP or relevant firewall certifications are highly preferred. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical challenges into business impact for executive leadership. Tech Skill 1: Firewall management (Preferred: Fortinet) Tech Skill 2: Router and Switches Management (Preferred: Cisco) Tech Skill 3: Web proxy (Preferred: Zscaler) and WAF (Preferred: Akamai)
