As our AI-Driven Frontend Intern, you'll help our engineering teams keep the product fast, clean, and reliable to build on. By fixing well-scoped bugs, chipping away at frontend tech debt, and rotating across teams to support real project deliveries, you'll help Trengo ship a better experience to the thousands of businesses that rely on us, and contribute directly to how we grow.

WHAT YOUR ROLE LOOKS LIKE:

  • Fix real, well-scoped bugs in our frontend, each one pre-triaged with clear boundaries and reviewed by a senior engineer, so you ship with confidence from day one.

  • Tackle bite-sized pieces of our frontend tech debt and improvement work, turning a large cleanup effort into steady, visible progress.

  • Rotate across our engineering teams, joining a few project deliveries to see how each one works and where you fit best.

  • Lean on AI-powered coding tools (especially Claude Code, alongside Cursor and Codex) to speed up your coding and problem-solving, and pick up the prompting techniques behind AI-augmented development.

  • Question the awkward steps and "why is it this way?" gaps that experience tends to gloss over. Your fresh perspective is part of the value you bring.

What You’ll Bring

  • We’d love to meet you if you:

  • Are currently studying computer science, software engineering, or a related field, and have picked up some frontend experience through coursework, personal projects, or a first internship.

  • Are available to start in September 2026 and can commit to a 6-month internship for 32–40 hours per week.

  • Have experimented with AI-powered coding tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex, and are eager to build them into how you work.

  • Are comfortable with, or keen to learn, Vue3, Pinia, Vite, or similar modern frontend tooling.

  • Approach problems with curiosity and persistence, and aren't afraid to ask questions when something doesn't make sense.

  • Communicate clearly and enjoy working as part of a small, collaborative team.
