Quality Control Manager (Flexible Packaging) Industry: Adaptable Packaging (Films, Laminates, Pouches) Experience: 57 Years Engagement: Full-time Location: UAE Start Date: 1st May 2026 Salary : UAE: AED 3,500 / month India: INR 90000 / month Benefits : Company-provided accommodation Employment visa (UAE) Medical insurance Relocation assistance Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager Flexible Packaging with strong hands-on exposure to printing, lamination, slitting, and pouching quality processes. The role requires complete ownership of quality assurance and control systems across the production lifecycle, ensuring all products meet internal standards and customer specifications while minimizing defects and rejections. Key Responsibilities Implement and manage end-to-end quality control systems across all production stages Ensure quality compliance in printing, lamination, slitting, and pouching operations Monitor and control defects such as: Ink smudging, poor adhesion, misregistration Delamination, bubbles, silvering Seal failures, leakages, misalignment Conduct raw material inspection for films, adhesives, and inks Approve first production samples (FPA) before bulk production Maintain in-process quality checks and final inspection protocols Coordinate closely with production, maintenance, and purchase teams Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) Maintain quality documentation, inspection reports, and batch traceability Drive continuous improvement in quality standards and defect reduction Enforce SOPs, quality benchmarks, and 5S practices on the shop floor Required Expertise 57 years of experience in flexible packaging quality control Strong working knowledge of: Films: BOPP, PET, PE, CPP, Metallized films Printing defects, ink systems, and adhesion standards Lamination bonding, adhesive curing, and delamination control Slitting quality (edge finish, roll consistency) Pouching defects (seal strength, leakage, dimensional accuracy) Understanding of: Dyne levels and surface treatment Registration tolerance and print accuracy Bond strength (peel test), seal strength testing COF, GSM, thickness measurement Moisture control and film behavior Technical & Management Skills Hands-on experience with QC lab equipment and testing methods: Seal strength tester Bond strength (peel) tester COF tester Micrometer / thickness gauge Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving capability Experience implementing CAPA systems Knowledge of quality standards and compliance (food-grade packaging preferred) Familiarity with ERP/MIS systems for quality tracking Strong documentation and reporting discipline Quality & Performance Metrics (KPIs) Rejection rate (target Customer complaints / returns First-pass approval rate Defect rate by process (printing / lamination / pouching) Rework percentage Batch approval turnaround time Ideal Candidate Traits Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset Hands-on QC leader with shop-floor presence Proactive in identifying and resolving defects Data-driven and process-oriented approach Strong communicator with cross-functional coordination skills Capable of independently managing the quality department .
