Custom Software Engineer - Python

As a Custom Software Engineer, your typical day involves creating tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and improving various components within systems or applications. You will work with modern development frameworks and follow agile methodologies to ensure the delivery of scalable and efficient software that meets unique business requirements. Collaboration with different teams and continuous refinement of software elements to enhance performance and functionality are integral parts of your daily routine. - Expected to be an SME, collaborate, and manage the team to perform. - Responsible for team decisions and engaging with multiple teams to contribute to key decisions. - Provide solutions to problems for your immediate team and across multiple teams. - Lead the implementation of best practices to improve software quality and delivery timelines. - Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and skill development. - Coordinate cross-functional efforts to align software development with organizational goals. Professional & Technical Skills: - Proficiency in Python (Programming Language). - Strong Python expertise with hands-on GCP BigQuery exposure to partitioned datasets (creation & handling). - Mandatory experience with Pandas + NumPy (deep working experience) and basic knowledge of regex. - Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts and design patterns. - Experience with modern software development frameworks and libraries. - Familiarity with agile software development methodologies and continuous integration processes. - Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. - Experience in debugging, testing, and optimizing software applications. - Good to have hands-on experience with Dataiku and working with Terraform for code/infrastructure management. The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Python (Programming Language). This position is based at our Gurugram office, and a 15 years full-time education is required.
