About the role
Strong administration experience in Microsoft SQL Server (On Prem, Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance). Design and manage High Availability & DR solutions (AlwaysOn AG, FCI, Log Shipping, Geo replication). Monitor and optimize performance (I/O latency, wait stats, TempDB, blocking, indexing, query tuning). . Manage backup, restore, and DR testing aligned to RPO/RTO requirements. Hands on experience with Azure PaaS networking (VNet, Private Endpoints) and Azure monitoring tools. Implement database security (RBAC, TDE, Always Encrypted, Auditing, Entra ID integration). Develop automation using PowerShell, T SQL, SQL Agent, and Azure Automation. Perform capacity planning, storage optimization, and support cost governance initiatives. Handle P1/P2 incidents, conduct RCA, and provide production stabilization support. Support database migrations, upgrades, assessments, and modernization initiatives .
