Role Overview: As a Staff Software Engineer at Trimble, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, managing, and overseeing complex software development applications. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, leading and mentoring junior Software Engineers, and contributing to the technical roadmap for your product or area of expertise. Key Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and maintain software development applications, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to scope. - Utilize well-established design patterns, architectures, and agile development processes. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, objectives, and timelines. - Encourage best practices within the team and maintain technical design documentation. - Assess and communicate potential risks related to software quality and prioritize testing efforts. - Investigate and resolve complex technical issues, serving as a senior authority in problem-solving. - Support the deployment of solutions into production environments and interact with stakeholders to communicate project status. - Lead and mentor junior Software Engineers, providing technical guidance and support for professional growth. - Contribute to the development and maintenance of coding standards, best practices, and software development processes. - Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, sharing knowledge within the organization. Qualifications Required: - Graduated from a premier institute with a degree in Computer Science Engineering. - Minimum 10 years of working experience in a tier-1 organization. - Strong proficiency in Java programming language and frameworks like Spring and Hibernate. - Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, and knowledge of microservices architecture. - Familiarity with RESTful APIs, containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, and database management systems like MySQL and PostgreSQL. - Proficiency in version control systems like Git, web technologies, and protocols. - Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, or Buildkite, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to lead and mentor team members, follow agile methodologies, and assess risks related to software quality. - Resource management skills, including resource allocation and team management.
