Job Profile: Senior Backend Developer / Backend Lead Company : tripXOXO Position : Senior Backend Developer / Backend Lead Location : Chittethukara, Kochi Experience Required : 4+ years preferred (Senior-level experience in backend development and team handling is required.) Role Overview We are hiring a Senior Backend Developer / Backend Lead for tripXOXO. The candidate should have strong experience in Python, Django, Django REST Framework, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL . The role involves backend development, API creation, third-party integrations, database optimization, production issue handling, and leading a team of developers. The candidate will work closely with the product, business, and management teams to build and improve travel-tech systems related to product catalogue, pricing, availability, booking flow, order management, vouchers, and supplier integrations. Travel industry experience will be a solid plus. Key Responsibilities The selected candidate will be responsible for: 1. Building, maintaining, and improving backend systems using Python and Django . 2. Developing secure and scalable APIs using Django REST Framework . 3. Working with databases such as MongoDB and PostgreSQL . 4. Designing database structures, optimizing queries, indexing, and improving backend performance. 5. Managing backend architecture for booking, product catalogue, pricing, availability, order management, vouchers, and supplier integrations. 6. Integrating third-party APIs such as travel suppliers, booking APIs, payment gateways, CRM systems, ERP systems, and voucher/reward engines. 7. Leading a team of developers and managing their day-to-day work. 8. Ensuring data security, access control, error handling, logging, and monitoring across backend systems.
